“Clean laundry for everyone”

Homie starts partnership with Stichting Ontmoeting.

You know Homie from the home appliances that we provide as a service and where you pay for the use instead of the possession. With our Pay-Per-Use concept in washing and drying, we encourage energy-efficient washing behavior in order to reduce the impact on the environment.

In our view, sustainability is also about how we treat each other in this society. At Homie we think about this every day and we try to contribute with our services and products.

In July 2021 we started a partnership with Stichting Ontmoeting (i.e. Meeting Foundation). Stichting Ontmoeting is a foundation founded in Rotterdam, which is active in guiding the less fortunate. Every day, volunteers and employees support people who have gotten ‘stuck’. The Meeting Foundation helps these people to enter into relationships and to offer perspective.

Stichting Ontmoeting offers help from various places throughout the Netherlands. They are likewise active in the Woerden region, where Homie’s head office is located. In the meantime, Homie supports the initiative of Stichting Ontmoeting and will donate more washing machines in the future. This is because we believe that everyone has the right to clean laundry.
